The classification of epoxy resin has not been unified. Generally, it is classified according to strength, heat resistance grade and characteristics. There are 16 main varieties of epoxy resin, including general-purpose adhesive, structural adhesive, temperature resistant adhesive, low-temperature resistant adhesive, underwater and wet surface adhesive, conductive adhesive, optical adhesive, spot welding adhesive, epoxy resin adhesive film, foam adhesive, strain adhesive, soft material adhesive, sealant, special adhesive, cured adhesive and civil construction adhesive.

There are also the following classifications of epoxy adhesives in the industry:

1. According to its main composition, it is divided into pure epoxy resin adhesive and modified epoxy resin adhesive;

2. According to their professional uses, they are divided into epoxy resin adhesives for machinery, epoxy resin adhesives for construction, epoxy resin adhesives for electronic eyes, epoxy resin adhesives for repair, traffic adhesives, marine adhesives, etc;

3. According to the construction conditions, it is divided into normal temperature curing adhesive, low temperature curing adhesive and other curing adhesives;

4. According to its packaging form, it can be divided into single component adhesive, two-component adhesive and multi-component adhesive;

There are other methods, such as solvent-free glue, solvent-based glue and water-based glue. However, component classification is widely used.

Characteristics of epoxy resin adhesive

1. Basic characteristics: two component glue, which needs to be mixed with AB, has strong versatility and can fill large gaps

2. Operating environment: it can be cured at room temperature, indoors or outdoors. It can be mixed manually or special equipment for AB glue (such as AB glue gun) can be used

3. The applicable temperature is generally -50 to +150 degrees

4. Suitable for general environment, waterproof, oil resistant, strong acid and alkali resistant

5. Place it in a cool place away from direct sunlight, with a shelf life of 12 months
